FAQs

What is Trauma informed care?

Trauma informed care has four key points:

  • recognized widespread impact of trauma and understands the potential paths one may need for recovery.

  • Recognizes the signs and symptoms of trauma in clients and their families.

  • Responds to clients by fully integrating knowledge about trauma into policies, procedures, and practices.

  • Actively resists re-traumatization.

What is the difference between coaching and therapy?

Trauma recovery coaching is specifically designed to address trauma. We do not pathologize, label right or wrong, how our clients respond to trauma. We do not have a power differential as we walk alongside clients and are not above them. Coaching is client led as we do not tell the client how, what, or why they should feel a certain way as we believe that you have everything capable of healing with the guidance of the coach. We also do not treat or diagnose mental illness.
